Corporate Philanthropy & The Lincoln Electric Foundation

The Lincoln Electric Foundation: The Lincoln Electric Foundation has been an active partner in our communities since 1952, dedicated to improving the quality and well-being of the communities where our employees live and work. Since its founding, the Foundation has donated more than $35 million in grants and scholarships that support programs that work to alleviate poverty and illness, promote education, provide health and human services, and bring cultural vibrancy to our communities.

In 2024, the Foundation issued approximately $1.6 million in grants. Approximately 50% of the grants were issued to support programming for economically challenged and underserved citizens.

In-Kind Gifts: We provide product donations to nonprofit organizations to support fundraising events, disaster relief efforts, weld training and skilled trade programs. In 2024, we provided approximately $1.1 million of in-kind donations domestically, in addition to donations made through the James F. Lincoln Foundation, product programs that support educational institutions and various international facility donations.

Employee Gift Matching Program: The Lincoln Electric Employee Gift Matching Program supports U.S. employees with the opportunity to double their donation to the nonprofits of their choice. Employees' gifts are matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000 annually.

Commitment to the Community

Lincoln Electric returned as the presenting sponsor for the Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center's 13th Annual Big Wheel Relay. The Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center (CHSC) is Northeast Ohio's only nonprofit organization dedicated solely to serving those with special communication needs. Four teams of Lincoln Electric employees participated in the event, which raised a record-breaking $96,000 for the organization. Funds raised allow CHSC to continue to provide free and reduced-cost speech-language, hearing, language interpreting and deaf services to the community.

Volunteers helped transform Cleveland's Collinwood neighborhood through mural & storefront painting, greenhouse & green roof weeding, and various street clean-up projects — all in support of the missions of local organizations Waterloo Arts and Praxis, which work to enrich community through public art and cultural programming.

The Sub Zero Mission is a non-profit organization that provides unhoused veterans with warm clothing, such as coats, hats and sleeping bags, as well as opportunities for training and employment. Our Employee Resource Group (ERG), LincVets, continued our partnership with this impactful organization with a $4,500 contribution in addition to warming items donated by employees in the Cleveland area.

The Lincoln Electric foundation supported the capital campaign for the Northeast Ohio Girl Scout STEM Center, which includes an 8,000-sq.-ft. building integrated with the outdoors in an existing 350-acre camp. The center houses a wet lab; workshop space, including those needed for prototyping and inventions; a tech space; podcast booth; observatory; weather station; and more.
